I am a registered clinical psychologist who is fluent in multiple languages (Mandarin, Cantonese, Hakka and English). I provide psychological services to support the wellbeing of individuals over 17 years of age in Melbourne. I see clients at my consulting rooms in Carlton and also via telehealth.

I am down-to-earth and have a warm, thoughtful and non-judgemental approach. My clients appreciate that I provide an empowering and assuring presence in their journey of figuring out what is going on in their life and carving the path to a more meaningful and authentic future.

I have worked with individuals with various concerns across different life stages, in public mental health and private practice.

I started my journey in psychology about twelve years ago, after an extensive career in the finance and education sectors. I also have firsthand experience of the joys and difficulties as a migrant to a different culture as an adult. I am hence very grateful for the rich life experience I could bring into the therapy room and the opportunities to walk with clients as they manage challenges that are overwhelming.

I have developed a passion in helping people make personal recovery from life-changing illnesses or circumstances, in rebuilding hope, redefining self-identity, assuming / re-assuming responsibilities, and leading a meaningful life.

I am a LGBTQIA+ aware and affirmative clinician. I have personal connections to the LGBTQIA+ community and appreciate the particular challenges faced by individuals who identify as LGBTQIA+. It is a privilege for me to work in this space.

Focus and therapeutic approach

Self-compassion forms the foundation of my therapeutic approach: I believe that self-compassion is one of the most powerful tool in shifting from distress to wellness, but more importantly in strengthening emotional resilience and mental health.

I have a special interest in treating bipolar disorder, depression, anxiety disorders and relational trauma (including childhood trauma and complex PTSD). I also help clients manage a wide range of other concerns.

Flipping dice from Stress to Wellness

“Living with authenticity is key to living an abundant and meaningful life; it is worth the price of facing our shadow sides that we feel fearful, ashamed, or guilty of.”
